June 15th Press Release
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: CHIPPEWA VALLEY COALITION OF TEA (TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY) PARTIES ANNOUNCES JULY 4, 2009 TEA PARTY IN EAU CLAIRE, WI Eau Claire WI (Scott Schneider) JUNE 15, 2009 – The Chippewa Valley is upset with the governments in Washington DC and Madison and are gathering for an Independence Day Protest on Saturday July 4, 2009 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 3692 Spooner Avenue in the town of Altoona, WI. The political class in both Washington DC and Madison has pushed the American people to the breaking point. As Thomas Jefferson puts it in the Declaration of Independence, "When a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security. Such has been the patient sufferance of these people; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former systems of government". A gathering from all corners of the Chippewa Valley region has been scheduled to voice opposition to high taxes, massive deficit spending, unconstitutional government control, as well as the corruption and abuse of power by local, state, and national leaders of all parties. Every man, woman, and child from all political stripes who agree that our Federal, State, and Local government officials are out of control is invited to share in 3 hours of inspirational speeches, entertainment, food, information, live music, and exercise of our 1st amendment rights to free speech and assembly. All age groups welcome. This will be a family event. All concerned citizens are welcome. Please bring signs. This event will build on the momentum of the April 15, 2009 Tax Day Party held at the City Hall in downtown Eau Claire. All who attended that event are welcome to bring family, friends, and neighbors who are interested in telling Governor Doyle, President Obama, Ron Kind, David Obey, Russ Feingold, Herb Kohl, and all State Assembly and State Senate leaders that WISCONSINITES ARE TEA’D AND ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE! Chippewa Valley Tea Party Coalition is a motivated group of concerned citizens from all corners of Western Wisconsin interested in a grass roots non-partisan effort to take our country back through real reform oriented towards constitutionally limited government, lower taxes, fiscal responsibility, and a return of the power in Washington DC to the States and the People as our founding fathers originally intended. It is through the action, motivation, and finances drawn from these TEA Party gatherings that a message will be clearly sent to Washington and all other concentrations of Government Power that reform and change must come and come quickly or current office-holders will be removed and replaced with those who will.
