Anybody that may go to these "hearing sessions" or on the phone on the 25th

Remember, what may be worse than trying to shove this single payer "option" down our throats is the fact that mr kind, mr kohl and mr fiengold all voted to not allow an amendment requiring the congress and senate to get rid of the great insurance, they have now, and sign up for the single payer option.

In other words, they feel they are much better that the COMMON FOLK and what is good for us is not quite what they would like to see for them selves.

I have sent two E mails to mr kind asking him about this and have yet to get a straight answer.

Kind sets rules for health care forums
By KJ LANG | Lee Newspapers

.
LA CROSSE, Wis. — Angry confrontations at health care forums nationwide have prompted U.S. Rep. Ron Kind to establish some conduct rules for his upcoming town hall meetings.

“We’ve seen what’s happening in other parts of the country — some of these (town hall meetings) have turned out unruly,” said Kind spokesman Erik Olson. “Obviously, we are concerned.”
The meeting rules outlined by Kind’s office include:

Everyone will respect each other — no disruptions and no talking over others.

Everyone will fill out an informational sheet before entering the facility.

Those wanting to ask a question or make a statement will receive a number that will be drawn at random for order of speakers.

Kind’s four upcoming meetings in western Wisconsin and a telephone conference are intended to give citizens the opportunity to voice their thoughts and concerns on health care reform efforts, according to the release.

Kind, a Democrat from La Crosse, moved his meetings to larger venues after receiving numerous phones calls from people on both sides of the health care reform debate indicating they plan to attend, said Olson.

“This is the hot topic of the day,” he said.

Kind health care sessions

Kind will hold a town hall meeting from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at Whitehall High School auditorium, 19121 Hobson St., in Whitehall. He also will host a telephone meeting from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 25. To participate, call toll-free 1-877-229-8493 and enter the code 13433.

What a joke. About 5% of the crowd got to speak. We couldn't even get in. Kind's two major population centers are Eau Claire and LaCrosse. Why no listening session here?

Well if it was anything like the one in Tomah, it was 10 to 1 against government involvement in anything, including health care. The moto for the Tomah meeting should have been "Name one thing the government has ever done right".

Now the Tomah meeting had an auditorium that seated close to 1500 and it was almost full. I suspect that Whitehall is a much smaller school so that explains why you got stuck outside. Definitely a case of needing to get there early, especially when you know it is a hot topic.

And really 5% getting to speak is fairly good. To give 1000 people 2 minutes each would be 33 hours to hear them all. I think at most people would have sat through about 5 hours of it before they started to leave on their own so no more than 150 (15%) would of had the chance to speak in that time frame.

I am confident that he got to hear plenty of opposition and he will have to vote with that in mind. I found the Tomah meeting really encouraging, as the amount of opposition completely over whelmed any supporters
