Dear TEA Party Member,
Wow, this has been a very exciting week for the TEA Party. We have been working hard and long to find ways to get as many people to the 9/12 march on Washington as possible and in doing that we have been able to arrange a great deal on a flight for the trip to Washington!
First I must stress the need for our area to have a presence at the march and the need for hundreds of thousands of people from around this country to be there! This is going to be a huge turning point for the leaders in Washington. We can either turn it around for us or make it worse. If only a couple thousand show then most likely the men and women in Washington will laugh at us but if we show up in a force unimaginable they will have no choice but to start listening! Let’s make our voices and presence known!!!
We have been trying to find a way for as many people as possible to go and be able to be back in a very short period of time. We found a company that is willing to charter an airline with a capacity up to 160 people for a price of $350 - $360. This plane will leave from the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport at 6 am on Sept. 12 and get you to Washington that morning. After arriving in Washington you will be provided with a bus ride to the rally and ride back to the airport after the rally. You will be back in Eau Claire all in one day which will enable you to participate in this event in ONE day - Saturday Sept. 12th. This deal is only available until August 3rd. We will need your RSVP and a check for $360 per person. Please note that this does not include food or beverages.
We know that many will be taking their vacation the weekend before and may not have the money to do this trip. If you do have the money but you don’t have the time and are willing to donate some money to help others be able to go we would appreciate donations. All donations that we receive will go towards the 9/12 project and to get people to the march. Thank you all again for your donations!
Also I want to mention that July 23rd (Thursday) - 7pm, at CVTC (Chippewa Valley Technical College) in the Education Building there will be a Health Care forum. This forum will have a couple of doctors and Kristen Dexter from District 68 for the Assembly answering questions and talking about Health Care Reform. This is another thing that we all need to be at. If you want to make an impact with our representative Kristen Dexter and the media that will be there please show up and show up a little early to have a good seat. The address is 615 W. Clairemont Ave, Eau Claire, WI. Please come and let those in Madison know how you feel about Health Care Reform. REMEMBER THEY SAID IF YOU ARE NOT AT THE TABLE YOU ARE ON THE MENU!
